ABSTRACT
Based on the methods for advanced airfoil design and contrarotating propellers design, a new integrated design method has been developed for low noise propellers. In the method an interactive design process of airfoil-propeller is adopted in order to obtain better matching performance of airfoils and propellers, especially for cavitation noise reduction. A pair of contrarotating propellers using WPQ cavitation-resistant airfoils has been designed by the integration method.
Key words contrarotating propellers, cavitation-resistant, cavitation noise
