SHIRLEY HAILSTOCK IN REVIEW

WHAT THE CRITICS SAY ABOUT MIRROR IMAGE

Mirror

"...sure to please even the most discriminating reader"

Cheryl Ferguson, Romantic Times Magazine

Celebrity look-alike Aurora Alexander finds her life in peril because she looks like famed actress and talk show host, Marsha Chambers. Upon leaving the studio after being a guest on Ms. Chambers' show, Aurora is almost kidnapped, but television producer Duncan West comes to her rescue. From the moment she looks into his eyes, Aurora knows she's lost her heart to the handsome TV honcho.

Aurora attracts Duncan as much as Marsha repulses him. Where Marsha is cruel, Aurora is kind and loving. After getting a death threat meant for Marsha, Aurora agrees to fill in for Marsha on the show until the stalker is caught. Wishing for the case to be solved quickly, Duncan longs for the day he can have Aurora safe and happy in his arms.

Mirror

"The plot is intriguing, and the story unforgettable."

MT, Rendezvous

Aurora Alexander is still steaming as she leaves the Marsha Chambers talk show. Her resemblance to Marsha has made it possible for Aurora to pay her mother's expenses at the Skillman Nursing Home. It almost gets her kidnaped too. Deep in thought, Aurora doesn't notice the masked man until he is dragging her toward the parked van. But Duncan West, the show's producer, hears her screams and rushes to her rescue. At first, he thinks she's Marsha, but she quickly corrects him. Aurora tells him she is one of the look alike guests. After taking her home, Duncan returns to the studio to question Marsha. She denies knowing anyone who might try to abduct her. It's obvious to Duncan Marsha is hiding something. Even so, he persuades Aurora to act as a decoy, promising to provide her with security. Their admiration slowly turns to love as the killer bides his time. MIRROR IMAGE immediately hooks thn reels the reader in. Tension and conflict keep the pacing fast and exciting. Ms. Hailstock is a skilled researcher and knows how to create atmosphere. A chill crept up my spine as the killer stalked the heroine and a fatal disease stalked her mother. The plot is intrigues, the story is unforgettable.
