Suet is the rendered product of animal fat. The best Suet comes from the denser fats. Chicken fat tends to yield very soft suet.
Suet comes in two Primary Forms, 'Bells'(left image) and 'Squares(right image) The Suet Bell is an independant Hanging 'Feeder' made of the pastic netting it is tied in. The Squares require a suet feeder of some sort. many style are available. Some hopper feeders even come with a place for suet squares.
NOTE squirrles and raccoons may steal suet! if this becomes a problem feeders with a secure latch on the lid and metal cable to hang them are available(raccooms will chew through most cord and steal entire feeder if they cant get the suet out!)
