Words On Paper

Poems are words on paper,
With some we can amuse.
Others are of our feelings,
Of those we can't Abuse.

I write my words on paper,
And, I do not write in jest.
I write about my feelings,
At least, I do my best.

I could keep mt thoughts at bay,
Keep them hid inside,
But words are all I have to use,
My feelings, I can't hide.

The words I write, mean nothing,
If with you I can't share,
The emotion that I'm feeling,
With the words, I've written there.

If I can't touch your emotions,
My poems are not complete,
They exist, as words on paper,
And my task is in defeat.
