I have beheld the painful conflict,
An inkling of complete despair,
And the bitter taste of agony,
That consumes, your heart, so fair.
I see the pain, that fills your heart,
A pain you cannot hide,
The sight of anguish and distress,
That won't stay hid, inside.
I hear the sorrow, in your voice,
As you speak, so tenderly,
The fearful tremble, you give away,
When you converse, with me.
I feel the tears, fall from your eyes,
The reasons, not yet clear,
Do they fall, because of me?
Or, can I make them, disappear?
I sense the anguish, of your mind,
A scent of turmoil there,
Confusion, now has gripped your soul,
And peace, is found, nowhere.
