This poem is my 1997 Christmas edition.

The Greatest Gift

Some people think the greatest gift,
Was born on Christmas Day,
When a child, to us was sent,
To guide us on our way.

A gift of love from heaven,
A hope for all mankind,
An offering of the greatest love,
No man, could ever find.

But stop! To think a minute,
Of what this gift implied,
And, if this Child of Mary,
Would have never, died.

Although, He'll live forever,
He had to die, one day,
For in his death, a hope was born,
For us, to see the way.

The Greatest Gift that ever,
Graced our sinful world,
Was when this man, named Jesus,
Died, His arms unfurled.
