Haiku Stew
I tried to write a Haiku
So I gathered all the phrases
Reflections in a broken glass
The moon (in all its phases)
Ripples on a silent pool
Wise men bowing to a fool
The bees that buzz
The birds that sing
The glitter of an insects's wing
Cherry blossoms
A silent frog
One hand clapping
A sleeping dog
The winter wind
The summer breezes
The warming sun
The cold that freezes
A mother's breast
A baby's cry
A lover's lips
A dead man's sigh
A sky of blue
A field of corn
A fiery dusk
A lamb new-born
A humid night
A bed still warm
A tear of dew
A raging storm
All these phrases, tried and true
I gathered for my Haiku stew
I tried and tried but had to quit
They just would not all bloody fit!
