I think that is a very good idea. I have another hint - when reducing a large photograph it makes the avatar look better if you sharpen it.
: I am not sure how or where but maybe when you give the examples of what makes a good avatar it would be handy to have a list of tips for the newbie. for instance how many avatar creators are aware that 35% of the people using vp software cannot see their avs because the were not saved as gifs! Vp software for macs (a 35% market) only allows gifs to be recognized this is not the fault of the macs but of the software programmer who made it available to them. are there any other suggestions we could include in a list of handy tips? does anyone think this would be a useful tool?
