: Please give your views on Chillies Avatar Maker.
: This tool is being marketed as a way of stealing avatars from vp users,
: It does this by capturing the avatar in a scalable box. The program can
: also be used to capture and create avatars of web site artwork the way we
: normally do with psp or photoshop.
: Have a look and let me know what u think about it

: Should the guild discourage the use of this tool ?
: Should the guild accept sites that create avatars using it ?
: Is it a good tool for newbies to use to make avatars ?
: Is the only thing wrong the marketing angle ?
Hmmm,
I'm kinda disappointed at some of my fellow VPer's after reading some of the replies this one ... I definitely don't agree with banning someone because of what software they use.
I think of few people have confused the questions ... a person who steals AVs (or anything for that matter) is a thief and ofcourse should not be accepted/encouraged/associated with...BUT someone using Chilly's program to capture a pic 64pixels by 48pixels in BMP format is not neccessarily a bad individual! I myself work with graphics often and have PS5, PSP5, PF4, digital cam, flatbed scan, pci tv capture card, and many other animation and image editing/converting/blahblahblah ... all u have to do is have any image editing/capture program (or maybe say hit 'print screen' on your comp) to capture pics (...multiple freeware/shareware programs do that and much more). And ofcourse I have the Chilly program too...all it is is a simple scalable capture program.
If someone wants to use the Chilly program to make their AVs ... I say let em ... and we should all feel fortunate that we are able to use and afford higher end software for our AVs :)
