: What are your views on sites that take other peoples avatars and post
: them as their own, or setup a frames based site to steal your framed
: avatar pages inside their own site ?
: What action should the guild take against these sites ?
: Should the guild approach the site first or the individual who made
: the avatars ?
: Is the black list worthwhile ?
: Your views please
Well this is an unfortunate problem...my 2 cents is yeah keep the blacklist...and
I'm currently learning javascript, and the frames problem might be a simple script...I'm not sure on how to keep someone from linking to your framed page (with AVs on it,) to one of their framed sites...BUT here is a little script that should stop someone from linking to your framed page(the one with the AVs on it) to a site without a frame (huh? ^_^ )
try this if your viewers r browser 4 compatible (or if u already r using some scripts) ... just put this inside the
tags of the AV pages that u want safe (kinda safe). It's harmless as long as your viewers can read javascript (most can).remember inside the
tagsbtw: if u know a little javascript u could make it better by put onError commands :)
and this script could stop some one linking to any of your framed pages 'directly', they'd have to go to your first frame...
AND Devalin if u r reading this ... I love this message posting idea! Great job!
