So ....that will make : : : : : : : it harder. : : : : : : I have noticed that some newer sites seem to be carrying some *older av's*. I am wondering if all the changes from all the Vp's (ie from VP1-2-2.1-excite-zdchat) is promtpting some new site builders to believe that they can take av's from established sites and not be caught. The object of creating avatar sites, at least to me, is that of the creativity. It may be emcumbent upon some of us VP *oldsters* to periodically check our old av's. Especially if any of you are like me and have tons of discs of av's that I have collated through the several years of VP's existence. It concerns me that *older* av's may be appearing in newer sites and this may be an issue we will be addressing through time. Thanks....Trev : : : : : : : : : Hi peoples, : : : : : its good to see that some other people out there realize that with thousands of people trying to do the same thing ... some of them are gonna try the same stuff ;) (ie. scan from the same pics, tape from the same videos, crop the same web clips etc.) Although there may be some lazy and devious av stealers out there, don't always assume the worst check it out first :) I myself spent hours making pics and then I went to someone else's site and saw the same pics! You are right in a sense that the pictures are stolen from other sites ect. But it is your artistic ability that made them into avatars not someone elses. Your keen eye for beauty and originality is being stolen not the picture that you stole to create it. That is how I feel on the subject and why it angers me when people do this. : : JoDee : : I can almost see your point of view. I guess it's to each his own. Personally, if someone likes my av enough that they feel it is worthy of being on their site, I say go for it! I just ask that they be polite enough to put a link back to my page and give me some credit for it. Avs only take a minute to make so to me, it's no big deal. Everyone has their own individual views on it. For me, I feel confident enough in myself to know that I was the one who made the av so it doesn't matter to me one way or the other who does what with my avs. If they try to claim them as their own, they are only fooling themselves. : Well, I will get off my soapbox for now. hehe.
