No matter how hard I try
My thoughts keep coming back to you
They remind me of how we used to be
How our love was strong and true

No matter how hard I try
I push our special love away
And now when I see you
I don't know what to say

No matter how hard I try
My heart breaks when I look in your eyes
I see the love we once shared
And all the tears you cried

And now I realize that I love you with all my heart
I can assure it is no lie
But I can not speak those words
No matter how hard I try.
