As I sit here all alone
I think of how much she has grown
Almost four years has passed on by
I think of this and want to cry
I wonder how my life would be
If she had never came to be
Would I still be on this track
Or maybe a little bit further back
What if I never saw her smile
Would life still be worth the while
I don’t believe that it would be
Because she means so much to me
What happened I do not want to change
My life I will not rearrange
Without her, life would be so blue
My love for her is very true
Almost four years has passed on by
I think of this and want to cry
But when I see her big bright smile
It makes the pain all worth while
April November 5, 1996
The snow was lightly falling
The ground was a blanket of white
It was a Friday in April
Your father couldn’t be there
God, I wish he would have been
You were so little
Your eyes were sliver brown
Tiny soft hands
You were so precious
Now you’re growing
Ready to do more things
You’re so special
Take your time growing up
Lawrence October 11, 1996
Lawrence, Lawrence, Lawrence, Lawrence
It is not a name!
It is a fantasy!
It is a Pegasus soaring through the sky
A dragon cowering in fear of death
A unicorn napping under a tree
A serpent playing in the ocean
The sound of fairies wings
It is the first laugh of a newborn baby
An old woman walking her dog in the woods
A child seeing a deer for the first time
A girl climbing in a tree house
A woman helping a bird with a broken wing
A couple watching the sunset on the lake
It is an eagle flying freely
A hawk soaring in search of food
A kitten curled up on the floor
An ant running home
A gold ring in a pile of stones
It is a family of hundreds
A new one was born in April
An old one died in May
A loving comforting home
We are proud of each other
We are not the richest of the rich
Or the poorest of the poor
We live in many different
Cities, states and countries
All on this planet called
Earth
If Only October 11, 1996
If only the world would remain this way:
A lone wolf standing in the snow baying at the full moon.
If only the world would remain this way:
Unicorns, dragons, and fairies dancing together through the fantasy world in the sky.
Happiness is Green October 9, 1996
It tastes like chocolate ice cream
It sounds like a bouquet of flowers
it looks like a couple holding each other
And makes me feel joyous
What is laughter? October 8, 1996
What is laughter?
Is it the life of a fairy?
Or the first sound of a newborn child? Or the waking call of evil?
Maybe it is what makes a person beautiful?
Could it be the voice of and angel?
