Antaries Dragon October 22, 1996
A warrior?
No
A killer?
No
Then what is he?
He is a dragon that soars
With a wing spread beyond belief
He has never killed anyone
His parents were brutally murdered
By the king of the land
His fathers last words to him were
"In the era of Knights and Dragons,
There is only one hope
That is to be beautiful
The Unicorns can prance around
Why?
Because they are beautiful
The ugly ones are killed
My son you must kill or be killed
Antaries is not a murderer
He is a peace maker
And he will only fight
For peace and love

Hockey October 16, 1996
Checking, shooting, skating
Detroit Red Wings try and try again
Concentration, spirit, body strength
If you lose the first time, you better try harder next time

Grade 11 October 16, 1996
A year of getting prepared for college and studying hard
Thrilling yet depressing
I'm looking forward to getting accepted to the University of Arizona
I'm excited about going on to be a senior
I'm nervous about all the tests I have to take
And I fear not being good enough
All in all, though, life is a flame that burns higher with determination

What is it? October 12, 1996
What do you see?
What could it be?
Is it something that's dead?
Is it somebody's head?
Is it rotted and old?
Is it smelly with mold?
Do you see it in there?
Does it have any hair?
Is it a he or a she?
Oh my what could it be?

Pumpkins September, 1996
bright orange, hollow
glowing faces stare blankly
huge, Jack-o-lantern

Witches Cat September, 1996
black, terrifying
slowly creeps and wakes the dead
green eyes, sharp claws, hiss

Generation X September, 1996
We are the Generation
Called the Xer's
People believe we have nothing to live for
Well, we do
We are the Xer's
We wanna life life
Life to the fullest
Till God comes to take us away
Nobody believes we can run the country
But we will
They all say we're losers and drugies
So what?
We are the Xer's
We wanna life life
Life to the fullest
Till God comes to take us away
We will take over
You will pay for what you have done to us
The country will be ours
You cannot stop us
We believe in ourselves
We don't care about you
We are the Xer's
We will live forever

Eyes 1995
They're watching you
They won't leave you alone
They watch your every move
They know what you're doing
You try to run
They still follow
You try to scream
They're still there
You close your eyes
They're still staring
Then it stops. . .
You open your eyes
You look around and realize
It was all a dream

Jessica 1995 10th grade
Jessica
Exciting, curious, anxious, loving, and free
Sister of Casey and John Carl
Lover of the surroundings of nature, the colors of fall, the kindness of friends, the happiness of a family, and the sight of a newborn child
Who feels joyous when with friends, depressed when alone, nervous on test days, relieved on snowdays, and happy being myself
Who needs family, friends, pets, music, and fun
Who gives time, joy, hope, encouragement, and love
Who fears needles, dentists, spiders, the loss of friends and death
Who would like to see less homeless people, less child abuse, less drug users, less alcoholics, and less deaths that could have been avoided
Who lives in a green house on the corner of Sunset and Parallel
