BIOGRAPHY
Andreas Flaming was a peace-living man and instead of getting into big arguments on unimportant subjects and perhaps saying something which he would later regret, he would say to himself: "Flaumink z stell" (Flaming be quiet).
Andreas was also a person who wanted his food well seasoned; usually salting his food even before tasting it. Thereby he gained a reputation when at dinners the salt shaker would be passed to him before he even asked for it, as it was known the "Flaumink vell Zult" (Flaming wants salt).
When Andreas daughter, Eva, was of early school age, Andreas was painting their house and Eva was under foot, about the ladder and generally messing around in the area where he worked, when Andreas told her, for the last time, "Ev-ke" go now inside the house to your mother, "oda eck hau dee far de Naursch," (or I'll spank your seat).
