How we run the place
Falling Sky Pottery is made up of seven potters that share studio and gallery space. We all have distinctive styles, giving you a wide variety of pots to choose from.
The potters are Judy Gregg, John Yuskiw, Len Holderby Jr., Troy McMullen, Lope Fuentes, Isauro Elizondo and Ted Mabbatt.
All pottery is made and fired on the site. We fire our stoneware and porcelain pieces in a down draft brick kiln, that is gas fed utilizing four custom burners. For durability and strength, we fire to Cone 10 in a reduction atmosphere. Firing to this temperature allows the clay to vitrify, making it hard and strong (hence the name stoneware). Reduction firing results in a variety of beautiful glazed surfaces.
