My Favorite Things |
Everybody has favorite things. A favorite thing is what brings you pleasure in one form or another. We spend too much time hearing about what's wrong with the world. This page is about the good things that, if I were to stop to think about it, are what brings me little bits of happiness ...my favorites:

"It
seems to me I discovered what 'I love you' really means. It means I put you
and your interests and your comfort ahead of my own interests and my own
comfort because I love you. What does this mean? I love you. What does this mean? Think. We use this expression very carelessly. LOVE has nothing to do with what you are expecting to get-- only with what you are expecting to give -- which is everything. What you will receive in return varies. But it really has no connection with what you give. You give because you love and you cannot help giving. If you are very lucky, you may be loved back. That is delicious but it does not necessarily happen." -Katharine Hepburn "Me -Stories of my Life" |
music |
You are listening to one of my favorite compositions... "Plaisir d'Amour" written in the 18th century by an Italian composer named Giovanni Battista Martini.

classic movies |
I love a good classic movie. Most of the best movies were made back in the 30's, 40's and 50's. It is a cliche to use the term " Golden Age of Hollywood" , but it most certainly was just that. My favorite actress of all time is Irene Dunne.
The wonderful Irene Dunne , an actress who excelled in a variety of genres, also enchanted audiences with her musical talents. |
Some of Irene's classic movies are:
