2. If You Believe (Special Seasonal Radio Remix) (3:06)
This is a special holiday remix of the radio version of "If You Believe." The radio version of the track is found on all but the very first release of Jim's "By Heart" album. This remix adds bells and an oboe part to that track. This holiday remix is not available on any other CD.

This song is a duet, featuring Laura Creamer on vocals. This CD contains the special radio version of the song, and is found on all but the first two releases of Jim's "By Heart" album. The first two releases of the album included a bare-bones version — just Jim on the piano, some incidental strings and Laura Creamer's vocals. The radio version is a complete re-recording, with additional drum, keyboard and guitar parts, and a faster tempo.
Song notes:
"By Heart" is Jim's first song to appear on Billboard magazine's Adult Contemporary chart. The song debuted on the chart March 16, 1996, remaining on the chart for 16 weeks, eventually peaking at position 16.

"Hero's Dream" was used as the theme song for NBC's coverage of the 1996 Summer Olympic Games. The song appeared on Billboard's Adult Contemporary charts, peaking at position 24 and remaining on the chart for six weeks.

This song is slightly different than the version that appears on Jim's "Visions of Love" compilation. The version on this CD is the special radio version, in which Jim plays the piano behind Anne Cochran's vocals. The version on "Visions of Love" features pianist Howard Pfeifer.
