Have I told you lately that I love you?
I know I say the words, that's true..
But do you feel them in your heart,
Like you used to from the start?
Do they still give you a warm glow,
Or over your head do they blow?
Have I told you lately how I feel?
How your touch still gives me chills?
That when you kiss me my heart does race?
And that in your arms, is my favorite place?
Or that your caresses still set me aflame?
And how heart flutters when you say my name?
Have I told you lately how much I need you still?
Or how one look from you my heart does thrill?
Have I told you "thank you" lately for all you do?
Or expressed that my life is better because of you?
For all the little things that mean so much,
Like a hug, a kiss or a simple touch?
Have I told you lately that I want you so?
Or that I want to hold you forever and never let go?
You mean more to me than words can ever say,
And I love you more with each passing day..
I miss you desperately when you are not around,
And I am so thankful for the love we have found..
Too often these things are left unsaid..
We get too busy with other things instead..
But I need you know all these things and more,
For you are the one my heart beats for..
I am only half of a whole without you near,
But you complete me when you are here..
