Céline's Bio: Céline Dion took the music world by storm following the release of her multiple platinum album "Falling Into You." She performed "The Power of The Dream" during the opening ceremonies of the Olympics in Atlanta and sang "Because You Loved Me" at the Academy Awards . The winner of two Grammy Awards in 1997 as well as a special Juno Award for International Achievement. Céline began to recieve recognition for her talent in 1982, winning the Gold Medal at the Yamaha World Song Festival in Tokyo, along with the coveted Musician's Award for Top Performer. In 1983, she became the first Canadian ever to recieve a Gold Record in France. By 1988, Céline had established a strong name for herself in her native Province of Quebec, Recieving numerous Felix Awards and racking up platinum albums. Blessed with one of popular music's truly great voices, she has crossed all barriers-even that of language-with her electrifying series of international hits.It seems like Céline has time for little else. Not the case. Céline has used her talents to further the cause of the Canadian Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. With each new release, Céline has managed to top her previous sucesses and, along the way, has become one of the brightest stars in the world of popular music. In a matter of a few short years, she has accomplished what she has always wanted to do. She is now the brightest shining pop star on the international stage.
