Had a bright spark idea to redecorate my room today. So I moved all the pictures on the wall next to my bed to the area next to my desk.. and then went and bought lots of fabric to cover the bare wall. The problem with redecorating on a whim, is that you didn't like what you had before, so you'll go and find anything you can to make it look better... but only 10% of the time you'll love it the second time round, and the other 90% you'll hate it but you won't know why. See, first, I was thinking a tent-like canopy... but that was a no go because it would involve lots and lots of fabric and unless I canopied my whole room ceiling - it would look odd if only half of it were done. Besides, my ceiling is ugly. And the saddest thing is that my stuffed animal clashes with my new colors. I wish I could be one of those people who has a room consisting of like, three colors, all in the same color palette and it looks fantastic. Even their stationary and books are that same color! It kind of looks like I have pantyhose on my wall. With black and white photos on top. Yep, this is as good as it gets. Talked to my sis today. Her phone hates me. It keeps hanging up on me and I'm taking it as a personal insult. Talked to Claire too, who was VERY mad I wasn't in Montreal. Oh well, the girl will survive without me - even though I was going to be her token Aussie friend, which would be her ticket into student housing with hot boys. Eg. "Here's my friend, she's Australian, that makes me cool too right? Take me home with you next year?" Have decided that if the fabric on the walls doesn't work out, then I shall have a lot of chiffon scarves. Yay! All I need is the 'Suzanne clip' - remember those? The ones they advertized on the infomercials. You can use them on your shoes, on your scarves, in your hair... "Very elegant!" "So Styyylish!" Yep. My mommy didn't let me get any even though if you called in the next 2 minutes you would get a free fish tank pump!! *I* was impressed.
