In empty eyes: An ode to Pam

Every time I gaze the smile in your eyes,

I remember what we had;

nights of passion;

Heated hearts...

I strive to upturn the glass;

rescind the grains of sand.

The pain is indescribable;

my love undefinable.

I want to return to the warmth

of your breast.

Bright bubbly emotions,

and that sparkle in brown eyes;

You always made me happy;

The first and last thought in my day.

Our Passion still afire,

but the flame of you burns.

The love has become fallow,

and saddens me in turns.

Your motives are of the flesh,

as mine are too,

But I yearn for more,

and none is forthcoming.

I'm left without love;

With next morning blues,

and a hollowed out feeling,

that can only be filled by you.
