Will You Touch Your Hand to Mine
Written For My Wife

Do you want to climb with me
Feel the wind come strong and free
Taste the clouds that rainbows fly
Pouring through the misty sky

Will you touch your hand to mine
Smile your eyes a thousand times
Flowing lightly through the sky
Our love will find a glowing sigh

Can you feel that special place
Where beating hearts have no haste
Fingers touch and intertwine
Say the words that trust will find

Do you hear our magic sound
That fills the sky as it rebounds
Fingers touch an airy space
Where melodies caress your face

Stay with me as our love grows
Whisper truths for two new souls
Stay with me till time unbends
Both of us Felice and Len

Half a Woman Half a Child

How delicate was her shy glance
How warm her smile was it by chance
So fresh and new a fragile flower
Now half a woman half a child

Our fingers touched and time did fly
The music drifting to the sky
The hours passing in a glance
Our hearts stood still eyes in a trance

She was half a woman half a child
Would she walk with me a lover's mile
She was fragile as the evening mist
Two lovers sharing their first kiss

The song we made was in the air
Its rhythms passing without fear
We talked too long then it was time
To break away from love's new rhyme

Her smile was gentle as a sigh
Her music to the heart did fly
We stayed a minute hours flew
Now would her heart reflect the mood

We made a pact to meet again
There's no time left for two new friends
Her fingers touched a part of me
Caressed my heart and set it free

Dying in Inches

(For my Mom)

Just a little bit weaker then yesterday
Can't move
Can't see the skipping of little children
A kitten on its back purring
Or pigeons feeding by the fountain
Stuck in this place
Kind strangers with distant smiles
To take care of her
Her left side shut down
Can't move
Can't do anything
Waiting to die
Even though the day is perfect
The sun nestling in the cool air
Trees blossoming
A gentle winds blowing
The earth heaving up new life
And the clouds smiling rainbows
Angry
Very angry at me for letting her live
Angry at her new life
She waits and stares at strangers
Trying to take care of her
I told her they're
Doing their best Mom
But they leave her at night
Set free to
Go home
To a kinder place
With warm hearts and laughter
Family
And the taste of love
But she just can't move anymore
From this bed of cold nights
And distant dreams
And I
I can't do anything
Not this time
Not anymore

The Red Tiger

Your words only seem to glaze the surface
As we talk of simple things
And i wish i could look deep into your heart
Where the beat turns red and true
Where pain and truth
Flash out their heat and spill their message
Let us go together
Beneath that shiny protective film of polite sounds
That forms a steel curtain around our souls
Let us feel the beat of searing thoughts
that burn out their message
You know your body needs to tell its truth
Spill its passion for all to see
And yet you hold back protected by everyday words
Can't you feel your eyes glazing over?
Why won't you dig into your heart
and drag what you need to say
Screaming to me
So that i can see the red tiger within you
See you for who you really are
And touch a new love

The Princess and the Frog

There once was a frog named Joe
That couldn't get into the flow
He hopped all around with some sloppy green sounds
But his height was much to low
There once was a Princess named Heide
Whose Hairdo was quite out-of-sighty
She bent down low and ran smack into Joe
Who had just then taken flighty
Heide jumped up and let out a sigh
But luckily Joe was wearing his tie
He may have looked funny but
his smile was quite sunny
And he wasn't the type to tell her a lie
Strangely he made her heart sing
Like fudge and a cherry on whipped cream
So they danced 'round the pond
to some very green sounds
And the talk here in town is they made quite a team
He may have looked strange in his way
But she chose to give him a say
His hop might be low but their love did grow
She took a frog over a Prince that day

Two

It takes two to start the tango
And two to dance fandango
It takes two to play these adult games
And two to try and keep it sane
It takes two to stumble up the trail
And two to raise a lover's sail
It takes two to spin the electron web
And two to speak the words we said
It takes two to smell the air at night
And two to feel the sun's first light
It takes two to read this tangled poem
And two so we won't be alone

Sometimes

(lyrics)

Sometimes you should take a chance
Something new yes it's worth a glance
Sometimes new is worth a fight
Who knows you know it may come out right
Sometimes you can't play it cool
Sometimes the same old plays won't do
Sometimes you must face the truth
Could be a champ you can try something new
Leaving friends far behind
Try new places try new times
Leaving friends far behind
Try new places try new minds
Make a move to a place
A different smell a different taste
Sometimes you can't come to terms
Something new yes it's hard to learn
Sometimes it comes to a fight
You'r trying hard but you can't make it right
Sometimes they just treat you bad
Something snaps and it makes you mad
Sometimes they don't treat you right
You know it's times yes it times to take flight
Leaving friends far behind
Try new places try new times
Leaving friends far behind
Try new places try new minds
Make a move to a place
A different smell a different place
