Unworthy

The Lord is my Shepherd
Let Him guide me in the night
Delivering me from temptation
Through my life's endless flight

Let Him pour His grace upon me
Fill this sinners soul
Don't tell me I'm unworthy
Because I already know

Many times I have traveled
The twisted path of thorns
This time I fall upon my knees
Shouting
"Lord strengthen me and show me how
To sew Your Righteous seed."

Let Your words no longer fall
Upon my deaf ears
Engulf me from within
You have so much
The World needs to hear
Father show me where to begin

Never allowing myself
To get close enough
To take each step with You
Ashamed of myself
For all the pain
I have put You through

Look at my tired body and
This cold hollow soul
What good am I to You?
What can I possibly show?

I humble myself before Thee
Open up my heart
Please come in
Take me out of this Hell
Let my life begin

Matters Of Love

Matters of love
Are difficult at best
For the hurt and suffering
There is no rest

When our hearts are broken
How can we conceal
All of this pain
That we feel?

I cannot give you just one answer
But the best one I know
Is to give it to the Lord
You must let it go

I have been in the pit
Named "Sorrow and Despair"
Nothing good
Can ever come from there

Asking yourself
"Where did I go wrong?"
"What didn't I do?"
Understand the blame does not
Lie solely on you

Leave that place now
Another minute do not stay
For tomorrow is always
A brand new day

The sun does not always shine
The wind may not blow
Rest assured you do have
Somewhere to go

Into the loving arms of the Father
Comforted by His warm embrace
To a love that will endure
For the rest of your days

With a smile that can soothe
A glance that does cheer
With His touch so gentle
He will wipe away your tears

He loves you so much
Even before you were born
He loves you now
Though you are broken and torn

Fall upon your knees
Humble yourself to Him
Open your soul
Let your Father in

In Him you can trust
On Him you can depend
Offering you more love
Than any Earthly man

My Child

My beautiful child
My precious one
How I wanted to see you
Shine in the sun

To hear you laugh
To watch you play
To sing and dance
In the rain

My precious child
These things I do miss
I take comfort in the fact and
Try to remember this

Someday we will be together
Someday when I come Home
Then my sweet child
It is you I will hold

Close to my heart
Tight in my arms
Then I will see you
Shine in the sun

I will hear you laugh
To watch you play
Together we will sing and dance
In the rain

We will walk down
The Streets of Gold
Forever in my arms
Forever to hold
