Music, all kinds of music - whether classical or popular -- have a moving effect on all people. But for me, personally, the music composed for the films in which Audrey Hepburn starred, have a unique, stirring quality that goes right into the very depths of my being, creating in me profound waves of feeling that make listening almost an uplifting experience.

There must be others like me, Audrey Hepburn fans of this generation who probably come from different cultural backgrounds, who must feel the same way. It occurred to me that they might wish to have a compendium of the music that similarly moved them from the films that Audrey made in her lifetime.

This is an attempt on my part to work on such a project. However, I must admit that my musical background is rather limited, and even more limiting is my technical know-how on how to put this package together. Unfortunately, therefore, due to these two factors, justice to recreating those beautiful melodies cannot be made at this time. All I am able to do at present is to post the midis the way they are.

But I aim to learn. And learn I will! My priority at the moment is to share what I've got - to share with countless AH fans what I know and what I can do to commemorate our icon Audrey. And I want this off the ground: Now or Never! I am addressing myself to all AH fans who may wish to help me on the midis. I believe that our greatest motivator here is none other than Audrey herself, who has been a real inspiration to many. In a manner of speaking, sharing the music in her films is like sharing the very essence of Audrey! Her spirit lives on!

OK now, let's call this a dry run on what I hope to do next -- to learn and to polish! In music or midi, I stand at ground zero. So if anybody out there has music background or midi editor, I'd welcome any help. Recalling how it was some years ago, I knew nothing about HTML or cared how it works. When I discovered Audrey, I learned it almost instantaneously. Today, I face something different. For one tyro with no musical talent, this project might be formidable, perhaps, almost like the building of the great pyramids. But I hope that you out there can be patient and bear along with me.

If you are not fearful of little bumpy rides, sharp twists and turns, abrupt ascents and descents, "test drive" the midis. And then get yourself Big Screen Records CD of
The Music from the Films of Audrey Hepburn.

Sit back, relax and click away.
