A Mother’s Promises
September 11, 2000
There is hardly a moment I can’t recall
The things you did to make me smile endlessly
You would hold up your fingers so small
And say, “I Love you MOMMY!”
Your cute little giggle lifts my heart
Your energy keeps me going
Your hugs and kisses get the day off to a great start
Your love and happiness is always showing.
As you grow from a baby to a little girl
I promise to guide you as best I can
I hope to protect you and your little world.
And when you need me most, I will lend a hand.
I as a Mother promise to you;
To be a good listener, yet lecture you some too.
I as a Mommy will always;
Hug you and kiss you, helping you through the rough days
I as a guardian and protector over you;
Will support you and keep you from feeling blue.
I as a friend,
Promise to be here for you ‘til the end.
