The
Snowman
Nov.
20, 2000
To watch him
make such an effort
He wanted
to create something not to forget.
To my surprise
the first step was done quickly
And I marveled
at his movement so swiftly
His hands
were becoming cold and red.
I have him
gloves and a hat for his head.
He laughed
and asked his littlest helpers
To assist
him on his second level.
He powerfully
lifted the second one up.
And his middle
helper was not even making a fuss.
I watched
as the head she was trying to make
With each
roll it would sadly break.
He leaned
down to show her how.
To pack a
snow-head gently and to be proud.
He positioned
the head atop the body.
And gathered
items to make it a somebody.
At the end
of his task at hand.
The finished
project was a Dale Jr. Snowman.
