To An Officer Fallen
Dec. 6, 2000

Taken away on a cold winter day.
What was to be a routine stop in every way.
It went so horribly wrong.
You were an officer so strong.

Now we must search to find comfort
Even though we are full of sorrow and hurt.
Memories of the times we’ve met are cherished.
The warmth and smiles we will forever embellish.

You put your life on the line daily.
To serve and protect our community, equally.
You were the person we all respected and looked up to.
To an officer fallen, Eric Nicholson, we will miss you.
