I sat in the silence
I worried for hours.
What did I do to deserve this?
What wickedness took this friendship of ours?
I cried fearing I had lost you.
I could not sleep or rest.
I felt so down and blue.
You always made me feel the best.

Then to my surprise.
My phone rang with you calling.
I tried my best to dry my eyes.
And keep my voice from cracking.
Your voice was soft and caring
The kindness of your words helped me so
I felt so relieved that we weren’t ending.
And that you loved me and our friendship will grow.

My mind is now at ease.
My smile is wider today.
I’m no longer sad; I’m excited and happy.
I’m grateful that you came my way.
Now that things between us are better.
We have talked out our indifference.
I feel our closeness will last forever.
And nothing can break the Strength of Our Friendship.
