Mr. Idiot Stories: (Ashley) episode #3 Ignore Dyrnwyn
and try to find cover.
Your dad slowly calms down over his recent outburst. You can see from your car
window that the water on the roads (remember the rain earlier?) has now turned to ice.
It is beginning to snow & hail. Using your reasoning skills (that I might add you lack,
just kidding!!!) You reason that they’ll be a storm in a matter of moments. Your dad
jump out of the car and slams it shut. Your mom jumps up, too. She says, “Honey, calm
down. There’s got to be a reasonable way to solve this kind of situation without
resolving in violence. Your dad says, “I must get the sword.” Your mom says, “Honey,
haven’t you said that enough?” Your dad starts to storm over to Mr. Idiot’s car. Your
mom reluctantly follows. Then your mom stops in mid-motion. But what of Kathy?”
“What about her,” your dad says? “This is too dangerous for her and she must stay here.”
Your mom says, “I guess you’re right.” “Kathy,” she says turning to you, “We’ll be back
as soon as we can. Remember, we love you.” You nod your head and give each one of
your parents’ quick kisses on the cheek. You whisper good-luck to each of them. You
did not know then that this would be the last time you would see them for a while (about
2 weeks). They both yell over their shoulders, “Stay in the car, whatever you do.” Then,
off they go to confront Mr. Idiot. You think to yourself, forget that, looking up at the sky,
you notice very dark clouds and just know that it will be raining in about a minute or so. You also think, I’m going to find cover and I don’t care what happens to that stupid
sword with the weird name. You see a cave a little forward and to the left to start to run
to it, but soon stop on the way. Out of nowhere pops a young man. He says, “I’m
Gryvon. Who might your beautiful self be?” You don’t know what to say to this
stranger, really. You just run into the cave and are surprised to see that he seems to be
following you and is very interested in you. You tell him you’re just waiting out the
storm. He nods his head (as if he understands) and says, “I can take you somewhere
special, if you like. I know you’ll like it.” But you’re kind of worried about your parents
having to deal with Mr. Idiot. Well, this mysterious man named Gryvon says, “so what
do you say? Will you go with me, or just stand here?” You wonder where Gryvon wants
to take you. You shrug your shoulders and wonder what to do next. Should you 1. Say
you’re willing to go with Gryvon. 2. Continue to stand there waiting for the storm to let
up.
