Commitment

The man in the moon is smiling at me
and I can't get you out of my mind
it's been much too long since your hands touched this flesh
but I can't leave these memories behind
the rustling of sheets
your body turning to mine
pulling me closer
relaxing my mind
Arousing my feelings
and touching my soul
our love was momentous
our lust made me whole
But now here I sit
with memories to play
and I see that you're nowhere around
so maybe it's best
to take these memories I have
and commit them to the ground.
