'LAW GRADUATES' FORUM KUWAIT CONDUCTS ANNUAL FAMILY GET TOGETHER 'Law Graduates' Forum', the association of Indian Law Graduates and Lawyers working in Kuwait organized its annual family get together at SUNRISE restaurant Fahaheel to celebrate Christmas, Ed and New Year. Members and their families turned out in strength and graced the occasion through their active participation. The function was inaugurated by the President Advocate Palavilayil Thomas Panicker by lighting the traditional lamp. President in his speech welcomed everybody to the function. The President while highlighting the activities of the Forum emphasized the necessity and utility of the Forum's activities to the local Indian Community in Kuwait and reiterated that the Forum would continue its endeavor to provide legal advice/guidance to the needy members of the Indian Community. President updated the members on the legal action being pursued against Air India and Indian Airlines on the exorbitant price increase before the honourable High Court of Kerala at Ernakulam. President briefed that the case against the indiscriminate price increase is going on well. Air India and Indian Airlines have already submitted their different detailed counter affidavits and the court is now waiting for the Government of India's counter affidavit and statement. Since, many question of laws are to be taken care of, the court may take its own time to come to a conclusion in this regard. Forum is doing all the efforts to keep the case going on and President requested everybody's co-operation and support. Felicitation speeches were made by Advocate John Thomas and Jacob Varughese. New member-, Mrs.Twinkle Chacko, was introduced to the Forum. Variety entertainments were held. Advocate David Isaac the General Secretary of the Forum, Advocate Rajesh Sagar, Treasurer of the Forum organized the programs. After a sumptuous dinner President Advocate Palavilayil Thomas Panicker expressed his sincere thanks to all the Forum's members and their families who were present on the occasion to make the function a grand success. The Forum's next General Body meeting will be held on Friday 26-01-2001 at 11 am at United Indian School Abbassia.
