betRayal
a betrayful feeling of betrayal
filled my dry garden of eternal hopes
when you left without a whisper...
and your smile
was like the sun's light
blinding before the warmth
a blindness that made me feel
cold.
that you are like a season
is an answered question
but have you changed from spring to winter?
that what was once life,
is now a face for me to shiver?
with the passion of need
running wild
hungering for any scrap of sweet tenderness from you,
meeting only unfulfilled hopes--
maybe the soul is losing its hold.
oh, i was once your summer turned winter cold.
i don't have the sun tonight
perhaps, tomorrow i might.
