LOVE ON A COMPUTER SCREEN

Is it possible to fall in love
with words on a screen?
Can you really trust your heart
with everything you've seen?

When do you know to take that step
to allow this person to see
what is really in your heart
and what it could really be?

Do you allow your phone to be
just another way to express
what your mind is screaming out
or just another test?

Is it too soon to arrange that meeting
to meet this invisible friend
to lay the emotions out for all to see
knowing it may be an end?

Could this be the real thing
do you dare trust your heart?
It may be crossing the line
or it could be love's start.

If you truly know their heart
and the way that you connect
why should the physical side
have any real effect?

All I can say is
I found my forever love.
I knew I loved him
before that first hug.

I paid no attention to the way he looked
or the clothes that he wore.
I already knew that I loved him
when my heart fell to the floor.

I do believe in love at first sight
whether it be in person or in screen.
The feelings come from the same heart
even if the face is not seen.
