For Parents To Remember

Your children are not your posession.
They are the sons and daughters
of life who's yearning for itself.

They come through you, but not from you.
You can give your love to them, 
but not your thoughts;
for they have their own thoughts.

You can give a home to their bodies,
but not to their souls;
because their souls live in the house of future,
which you can't visit, not even in your dreams.

If you want, you can try to become like them,
but you mustn't want to force them to become like you;
for life doesn't walk back
and doesn't stay in the past.
