Life as we knew it has come to and end,
everyone says she's gone "round the bend".
No cookies or breads are baked anymore,
we only eat junk food brought home from the store.
The table once used for eating a meal,
is now heaps upon heaps of unopened mail.
The dishes and laundry only get done,
when we finally get down to the very last one.
Newspapers and magazines all left unread,
while visions of HomePages dance in my head.
The phone never rings cause I'm busy "On-Line";
checking out sites and working on mine.
Visitor's drop by and try to converse,
but I'm lost in my puter, totally immersed.
I do not hear one word they say,
I just wish they'd hurry and go away.
E-mail is now my communication,
replacing "snail mail" and it's limitations.
My dreams are of Windows, opening and closing;
how did I ever survive without this thing?
