Welcome to the home page for Dale Walsh's site(still a long way from being completed, so please come back again).
All the images on this site are meant to be seen stereoscopically-either by free-viewing or by using red/blue anaglyph glasses. Of course, the images can be appreciated as normal two dimensional images if you can not free-view and have no red/blue glasses. However, looking at them in this manner is like being a deaf person at a symphony: you may still enjoy what you see but you are missing a lot. The glasses may be purchased at a number of online vendors including
Studio3d and Reel3d or Berezin Stereo Photography.
I have divided the site into 6 sections:
- Biography,
- beginnings and interest in stereoscopy,
- History
- of stereoscopic imagery,
- Sacred Sites,
- which contains images of religious or spiritual significance throughout the world, and was presented as a slide-tape show at the National Stereoscopic Association's(NSA)Congress in 1996,
- 3D Cliches
- pertains to the wonderful world of stereoscopic imagery,
- Vrbi et Orbi
- features Rome and Italy and was presented as a slide-tape show for the NSA Congress in Richmond, Virginia, 1998,
- Winner's gallery
- displays images presented in Photographic Society of America(PSA) International Exhibitions and elsewhere that have won prizes.
Enjoy!
