The Children

I want to introduce you to our children.

When I married Billy, he had 2 children by a previous marriage. As I said before, I was the wicked step-mother and we lost contact with the children for many years. Then about 10 years ago, Billy's daughter renewed her relationship with her father. With Nancy came 2 grandchildren, Kearstine and Jamie.

Last year when Billy's mother pass away, Billy's son, Dale, came to the funeral. After the funeral, we all went out to eat. As I sat at that table and looked around at Billy's family, MY family, my heart flooded with love. We had a wonderful family. Very supporting children who loved their Daddy very much.

After that day, Dale renewed his relationship with his father. With Dale, came another Grandchild. A red-headed ball of fire named Morgan.

When I see Billy's children with him, my heart bubbles with joy because I know that my husband's life is now complete. Nancy is still the little girl that loves to hang on her Daddy. (She reminds me of me with my Daddy in the last years of his life.) And Billy is so proud of her and her accomplishments in life. He beams when he talks about her.

Dale is the son that just can not do enough for you. Don't ever mention that you need something fixed or a helping hand, because Dale will do it for you. And don't mention that you would like to have something, because he gets that also. A wonderful son that Billy is so proud of. A son that shares in his Daddy's interest and hobbies.

And then there is Patrick, living in the back yard if you ever need him.

He hasn't made any great accomplishments in life, other than finding C.J. And he is not the hard worker that Dale is, but he loves his Daddy dearly and would do anything for him. Billy knows that he can always count on Patrick to be there.

Yes, God has been good to us. We have so many blessings that we do not deserve. I know I don't deserve to be a part of Billy's wonderful family, but I thank God they have allowed me to be.

Billy will be a great Granddaddy shortly. Kearstine is due to deliver a baby boy the first of February.

Four generations. What a blessing!

My Prayer, "Thank you God for allowing me to be a part of this family and share in this wonderful love. Thank you for letting the children forget the past and look to the future. And thank you Jesus for loving me, unconditionally."
