This page is dedicated to my Momma who I loved with all of my heart.

You think that no one cares, when you're sad and feeling blue;
So you ponder for someone to talk to, "Momma and Daddy, that's who!"

So you talk and you tell them, just what is upsetting you;
Never realizing that what you've done, is to make them upset too.

So the day has been bad and you're angry, and you need a place to stew;
And you ponder for someone to talk to, "Momma and Daddy, that's who!"

So you go over with all your anger, and tell them what's happened to you,
Never realizing that all you've done, is to anger them along with you.

So you're happy and things are great, things couldn't be better for you,
Your bubbly and bright and feel good, so now who do you talk to?

You talk to your sponse and your children, and tell all the folks around you,
Leaving out the most important people, Momma and Daddy, that's who.

We think of you when we need to borrow, and don't know who to turn to,
But it doesn't take but a minute to think, "Momma and Daddy, that's who!"

You are always there when we need you, no matter the problem or source;
Who else would help in the bad times, But Momma and Daddy, of course.

We talk to you about our problems, never thinking you have problems, too;
We look to you for the right answers, and then forget about thanking you.

Every child should stop and realize, all that their parents do;
The sacrifices that parents make, so they can provide for you.

We remember you in the bad times, we act like we don't care about you;
We forget you in the good times, I now realize that's WRONG to do.

When we are happy, you are happy; when we are sad, you're sad, too;
And anytime we need someone, we can always count on you.

The purpose of this little poem, or what I'm trying to do;
Is to put this point across, Momma and Daddy, "I LOVE YOU"!

With all my love, Mary

Written 4/28/82 just to tell my parents I love them.
First read in public on November 12th, 1990 at my Momma's funeral.

I would love to hear my Mother say I Love you, or even scold me just one more time.
I miss her terribly.

DO YOU NEED TO CALL YOUR MOTHER TODAY AND TELL HER HOW MUCH YOU LOVE HER?
PLEASE DON'T PUT IT OFF, YOU MIGHT NOT HAVE A CHANCE TOMORROW!
