We have all done really stupid things in our life, and when we do them, we never know what the consequences will be. Well, I did something really stupid in 1971 and now my brother sits in a wheelchair, paralyzed from his chest down.

I love my brother very much, he has always been there for me. Even in high school, he protected me. Any time I have had a problem, he listened to me, and even once when I skipped school, he found me and took me to the Principal's office to teach me a lesson. LOL.

Please learn from my mistake, if your family or friends need you to help them out, please don't turn your back on them. Be there for them as you want them to be there for you.

Yes, Richard had it all, a 19 year old newlywed of 9 months. And on that day in June when I said NO to him, his life changed and I will never forget it. I will never forget I am the reason he sits in that chair today.

His is a long story and I will not put it on this page for fear the length would scare you off. I just wanted to share with you my mistake in hopes you will learn from it and you will not have to carry the burden I now carry. The burden is not my brother, but the life I have caused my brother to lead.

Please pass my story on to others that they may learn from MY mistake. That others will stop and think and do unto others as they would have them do unto you.

Please take time to read the story of my Brother, click here.
