Pincushion Dolls
1930's China Marked Germany
This is a German mold , was my mothers
Someone threw this one into a Good-will box, I bought it for $0.50
I enjoy collecting off-beat and unsual pieces, they seem to have a charm all their own.
All the molds are in perfect condition but I had to create the gowns that they are wearing.
Half dolls are made of bisque, papier mache' , many were use as powder box tops and tea cozies and most date from 1900 into the 30's.
