Well, July 2nd came and went without the slightest hitch. Everything was so beautiful! Where should I begin?
Sunday morning - The day starts off at 6 in the morning. I go on a mad search online for the sheet music for the ceremony. I find all the music I need, but it doesn't want to print! I need to thank my poor cousin for allowing us to bombard her laptop with all sorts of downloads. After about a half an hour I give up and get ready to go to the hairdresser. I pick my up my maid of honor, Sheila. We go to the hairdresser. I need to thank my hairdresser, Finnuha for really hooking my hair up. It looked really good. We leave the hairdresser and go on some errands before finally arriving back at my mom's house. I get there and the makeup artist is working on one of the bridesmaids. I sit around and chat for awhile and then I finally eat something. The photographer arrives before I'm even in the chair for the makeup. Oh well, he just has to wait. I finally get in the chair and my girl, Michelle, starts to work her magic on me. Wow, I don't even recognize it's me when she's finished! She did such a great job. It's getting late, so we're rushing. Imagine that, 6 girls rushing to get dressed. It was such a mess. We're finally all dressed, and it's about 2:30. Not too much room to breathe. We're taking pictures and before we know it, it's 3:15, time to go. I felt like a true celebrity leaving the house that afternoon. There were so many people standing around just watching, it was amazing.
We get to the church (about 10 minutes late) and it's chaos. I'm the calmest person there - and shouldn't I be a nervous wreck? We finally get the show on the road and it's my turn to go down the aisle. I don't remember a thing about that stroll. All I remember is a thousands lights flashing in my face. I also remember catching a sweet glimpse of my soon-to-be husband. The ceremony seemed to really fly! I thought to myself, wow, that went fast. We do the receiving line and go to take pictures in the park.
The pictures are going to be stunning. Just looking at the pictures that I wasn't involved in were nice. I can't wait to see them. We leave the park and go to the reception hall. I was sort of upset because we got to the reception hall at 7 and the entire cocktail hour was over. Good thing we had the bridal suite, which had food in it. The food was really good too. I'm annoyed that I missed the full fledged cocktail hour. Anyway. It's 7:15 and we go upstairs and go throught the introductions. We have our first dance to "Fortunate" by Maxwell. My husband picked the song out. He told me the words are what he would sing to me, if he could. The reception was too short for me. I wish we could have had another hour or two. Everyone had a great time, and I was so happy to see everyone.
