In Canada Thanksgiving is celebrated on the second Monday of October. It is a day to be thankful for our bountiful harvest. Thanksgiving as we know it began in the 1700's but the Celtics celebrated the harvest starting back about two thousand years ago.

The traditional meal for this day is a turkey dinner served with cranberries, dressing, potatoes and pumkin pie all from the summer harvest. On this day families gather together to share a meal and to offer their thanks.
