Hello Friends !!!!!!!!!!

This page is dedicated my Summer of 1999 with the Upward Bound students, faculty, and staff at Mills College.
I got to teach French this passed Summer for the Upward Bound program at Oakland, California's extremely beautiful Mills College. I had eight great students in my French class, as well as the many students for whom I subbed for three days in the 10th grade English Shakespeare class. I had a wonderful time. My French students were as follows: * Dagoberto Cuevas, aka "Théo" * Catherine Rash, aka "Sophie" * Francisca Jimenez, aka "Catherine" * Francisco Castro, aka "François" * Vuthy Tuy, aka "Vathé" * Chenda Duong, aka "Lise" * Javarte Bobino, aka "Jerémy", and * Truc Nguyen, aka "Yasmine"

This is my friend Leah Casey. She's a law student at the University of California at Berkeley. She was an assistant to Mr. Shultz for the Summer. Here we are on our way to see a production of Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet in Santa Cruz.

Voilà "Théo" (Dagoberto Cuevas) et moi. Théo est un des récipendaires du prix de "Most Improved". Avant ce cours de français, il ne savait rien de cette langue. Mais il a bien fait, et maintenant il en sait des choses.
