En Suisse!!!

Although we arrived in Paris, we only stayed the first evening in Paris, at my friend Christophe's, before heading out to Genève (Geneva), in Switzerland.
See a little more of Chris on the Cool Christophe page.

Do you like his French Army haircut?

Me and our Twingo in the Old Town of Geneva.
We'd rented a car, and I have to tell you, we happened to be lucky enough to get my absolute favorite little French car, the TWINGO!!! This little car is so cute!!! I'd always wanted one when they first came out while I was living in France in 1994, but I never even got to sit in one. Now, I would have one for the next two weeks!!! We didn't know that we'd actually get a Twingo, but not only did we, but we even got a green one!!! When I saw that at our Roissy, Charles de Gaulle rental lot, I was so stoked! This was foreshadowing that we were about to have a super super trip!!!!!
Sooo, this was my first time in Switzerland! Unlike France, here I was on completely new ground. So our first step in Geneva, was to gain our bearings. So we found the cafe of the train station, and Dani updated or Guide Michelin information, while I scoured the local newspaper. I would suggest not being in Europe without such a guide. The Fodor's guide was also useful.
Michelin, the company that we tend to think of as being only a tire company, is French, and not only makes tires, but also specializes in aiding world travel.

A click here will lead you to Michelin's Red Guide site. They make both the Green Guide listed above, and the Red Guide that this site lists. They're kind of expensive, but they were infinitely helpful for us. The Green Guides get you from place to place, while the Red Guides list hotels and restaurants.

While you're at this site, take the quiz, take the tour, or join the Red Club Guide for free.

Well, You've read all of this information, and you've travelled with Danika and I this far. Now, let's see if you've been paying attention! Don't worry. This should be both fun and painless. Just click on the link on this upcoming page, and you can use your back button to return you here if you can't handle the little quiz. But beware if you're a student of mine. All of the information there is fair game for future assignments!!!
