The breeze goes through my hair
As I sit outside
Enjoying the chill of the stormy night
Rain begins to gently fall.
I tip my face back
Welcoming it's cool refreshment.
Puddles begin to form
As the dry earth
Thirstily soaks the moisture up
Gulping down the much needed relief.
The quiet patter of the rain
Brings revivement from the drought
That dried up
All in it's path
Moving on
The wind carries the rain away
Leaving a trail of new life
In it's wake
