Last night while I slept
I felt your arms around me.
I drew comfort from you body
Pressed warmly against my own.
It was as if you never went away.
Everything was like it should be.
I felt your kiss upon my shoulder.
Your arms tightening around my waist.
When I turned to return your kiss
I was alone.
There was just cold, empty space
Where my dreams had placed you.
With empty arms I curled up
Crying for what I lost.
Yearning to make the moment real
Where you could be mine
Again.
