Rising from the mist into the light
I rise with the golden glow of dawn
I awake to see the promise of today
I dream of tomorrow I live in today
And my soul is made from the past

As the walls warm in your sun
I warm with them to meet the mist
I find the sun instead and smile
Gray walls in a violet mist have color
My heart in the sun grows strong

I awake to the day feel the breeze
I listen to the songbird greet  the day
I touch the face of today,  feel it's skin
Above it all before the dawn and songs 
I have my life because you care
