Although most of us younger generation Vietnamese are either born in the US or grew up here, Vietnam will always remain deep in our hearts. I left Vietnam when
I was only six years old; therefore, I do not know much about this beloved country. But whatever my eyes saw as a child in Vietnam, the memories forever are rooted in my mind and my heart.
Last year, spring 96, was my first trip back to Vietnam and the first time seeing my parents, siblings, relatives after 17 year.
I was so moved when I saw my family and relatives. It was certainly a special feeling to be with my fellow Vietnamese people and to feel the love and warmth of family.
My hometown is in the central region, or as we say it in Vietnamese, "Mie^`n Trung."
Our journey starts from Saigon and we drove all the way to my hometown within 3 days. Along the
way, we passed by Nha Trang, a beautiful city known for its beautiful white sandy beaches. We also
swinged by Da Nang and Hue. Below are some pictures I took from my trip.
