A Case of the Vapors

Don't want to work,
Don't want to play,
Just want to stay where I am
And while away the day.
Don't want to leave the house
Or read the morning papers;
I guess in another age
I would have what was called
"A case of the vapors".

I've got a case of the vapors,
But what else can I do?
I just want to lie about
Dreaming of you.

I feel so languid and listless,
Don't want to move from this chair,
I just want this reverie
Of seeing you there.

I lean back and stare into space,
And all at once before me you loom---
It's then your perfectly fabulous face
Fills every corner of the room.

I want you to know
I worship you so,
And no matter what you may do,
I have a case of the vapors,
A case of the vapors
Over you.
